Vasilis Zairopoulos
Vasilis Zairopoulos has been my friend for many years. He has a great deal of experience with boats. With his own hands he has constructed a small sailboat, and he is now building a new and larger one, also by himself.
Because of his experience Vasilis was a valuable source of advice on many technical issues during my restoration project. In particular his advice concerning epoxy resins during the reconstruction of the gunwale and worn ribs was invaluable.
Vasilis Zairopoulos cleaning an old rib of the “Faneromeni” with a wire brush. The rib will be reconstructed with epoxy resin.
